A monumental ship loading project in the spotlight
We would like to highlight another particularly interesting project that was recently completed. Our team was responsible for all the electrical components of a new, monumental ship loader: from the control of the roller belts to the drive of the machine on rails. All this is operated from a cabin, where the operator controls the entire machine via joysticks, buttons and a touch panel. The operator also receives warnings and alarms on a graphic screen, while a series of sensors monitor the safety of the machine and its surroundings.
Our role in this project
EFVEO provided the complete electrical design, schematics and installation of all cable routes. We placed the cabling, built and installed the electrical cabinets, and integrated the sensors. We also developed the entire software (PLC, operator touch screen), and were responsible for the link with the workstation software that connects all the machines on the quay. Naturally, our customer could count on us until the solution met all requirements.
Successful cooperation
It was a fantastic experience to realise this project together with the machine developer. Clear agreements and flexibility were paramount, which ensured that we were able to move quickly and achieve the desired results. We are proud of this successful project and look forward to future collaborations that once again challenge us to deliver innovative, safe and reliable solutions.
