EFVEO is located in the Tuinstraat in Melle, making us quickly accessible to customers in Antwerp, Ghent, Leuven and Brussels. We also serve customers throughout Belgium, the Netherlands and France. Although we continuously invest in our people and the latest technologies, we are housed in an iconic building with a rich history.

Our building, originally built by the chair manufacturer Lemaire, now houses our high-tech operations. The production building, which stands next to Lemaire's director's house, was once the place where up to 1,300 chairs a week were produced during the Lemaire company's heyday. Father and son Lemaire could never have foreseen that years later a high-tech company like EFVEO would be operational at this location.

EFVEO was founded in 1992 with the vision of providing leading solutions in the field of industrial automation and electricity. Over the years, we have become a trusted partner for companies in various sectors thanks to our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. We believe that cooperation and expertise are the keys to successful projects. This vision has remained unchanged for more than 30 years, and our experience has grown continuously.

We owe our growth to the commitment and professionalism of our dedicated team. Their determination has enabled us to deliver outstanding results time and again.

The name EFVEO is derived from the phonetic pronunciation of the abbreviation FVO, which stands for Françoys-Vanoverschelde. André Françoys and Jan Vanoverschelde founded the firm on 9 May 1992, as a successor to the previously founded 1980s firm ELHAM (Electricity, Low Voltage, High Voltage, Automation and Motors). There are even colleagues who worked at ELHAM and now work at EFVEO. Talk about a lot of experience...

After 32 years of service as team leader at Françoys-Vanoverschelde, Koen Van de Voorde, together with his wife Saskia de Groote, took over and successfully managed the firm on 30 December 2009. After 19 years of leadership, Koen and Saskia handed over the firm to Dirk Van Den Wouwer and Els Van Hul on 15 December 2023. They proudly continue EFVEO's rich history and strongly believe in further growth and the company's values.
